South Grafton youngster regains consciousness

THE five-year-old boy who suffered severe head injuries when he fell from the second storey of his South Grafton home has regained consciousness.

Yesterday, on her Facebook page, Tyne McLachlan, the mother of Sebastian McLachlan, said her son opened his eyes for the first time since his fall on Thursday night last week.

The news provoked a surge of comments on the Support for Sebby McLachlan Facebook page.

Organisers of a fundraising dinner at the Village Green Hotel said 52 of the 150 tickets to the May 15 event have already been sold.

"We wanted to give ourselves plenty of time to sell the tickets, but they're going so fast I wish we'd put it on earlier," said event organiser Janita Cooper.

Tickets for the event are available from The Village Green Hotel and Goldmark Jewellers in Grafton Shoppingworld.
