Sorry Julia and Tony - we don't want either of you!
A FACEBOOK poll asking who should be Australia's next Prime Minister has gone viral with views on one site alone topping 50,000 people.
APN Australian Regional Media, which runs Queensland and northern NSW newspapers and websites, asked its Facebook fans whether Kevin Rudd, Malcolm Turnbull, Tony Abbott or Julia Gillard should be the next PM.
The poll showed strong support for Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull while Tony Abbott and Julia Gillard, as actual leaders of their parties, copped plenty of abusive comments.
Many people wanted an 'E' choice: none of the above, while others suggested billionaire Clive Palmer, Pauline Hanson or Bob Katter would be better than the current two-party system.
Others suggested TV personalities Hamish and Andy or Eddie McGuire - while some suggested Shrek or Mickey Mouse would be a better option.
"It's like choosing between diptheria and beubonic plague (sic),'' one wrote.
"You could get to the end of the alphabet and still have no one to vote for,'' Natasha Mason posted.
"With their petty fights and childish behaviour, you would have more luck voting a preschooler in!''
The post on the Sunshine Coast Daily's Facebook page, which has 97,000 plus fans, was seen by more than 52,000 - one of the biggest results in the site's short history.
There were more than 540 votes cast on Queensland Times' page and almost 24,000 reached.
Thousands cast their votes in regions including the Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Mackay and further south to Coffs Harbour.
Some took the opportunity to warn of a Tony Abbott led government, while others blasted the backroom deals which saw Julia Gillard knife Kevin Rudd in the back to take the leadership.
"All should remember "Work Choices" - if you have to go to your employer and negotiate an agreement on wages you may be working for next to nothing and with no rights,'' Tracie Heni posted.
"Tony Abbot will remove and cripple the union movement. Very scary future indeed people (sic).''
But Queensland Times Facebook fan Richard Woolford said: "Anybody who cycles 1000kms in one week for charity has my vote. Go Tony you good thing. Come on Julia, get that Big "A" of yours on to a bike seat. I could go further there but I might upset the politically correct.''
Julia Gillard supporter Doris Pymble said the LNP was a party for the rich.
"These are the people who want to get rid of Medicare, want to keep giving all the money to private schools, who disagree with the Gonski report and who want to turn the Great Barrier Reef into a giant shipping port. It's all about money, money, money for them,'' she said.
Alwyn Beardmore said she believed Malcolm Turnbull was the "only one with the brains, ability and who isn't a religous bigot (sic)''.
Geoff Woods said Kevin Rudd was only getting support in the poll because he got "absolutely shafted in front of the world''.
"It scares me how many people want a failed leader of a failed party to reign.''
Karl Gallant was not fan of Rudd either, saying he was "the guy who removed our border protection, brought us pinks batts, fuel watch, grocery watch, unwanted school buildings, huge debt etc etc and he picks his ear wax in parliament and then eats it.''
Douglas Maggs wanted Jesus for PM.
"He is the only one who can save us now.''
Lachlan McKinnie suggested the election should be "a fight to the death, winner takes all.''
Who should be Australia's next Prime Minister?
