Some tall tales for sure

There are bound to be plenty of tall stories about the ones that got away at a gathering of members and former members of the Byron Bay Services Angling Club at The Rails on Saturday, June 5, from 2 to 5pm.

It has been organised to mark the 50th anniversary of the club’s foundation.

A club spokesman said the gathering was open to anyone who had been involved with the club over the years. He said anyone interested in joining the club also was invited to attend.

The club last weekend competed in a Far North Coast Fishing Club outing and finished behind Lismore in the team’s event, with club member Hoss McGrath winning the individual event.

Inquiries about the club can be made to Trevor Mead on 66856583.
