Soli warms up for Hawaii

Byron Bay’s Soli Bailey, 13, has won the blue ribbon under 16 boys division at the prestigious Billabong Taj’s Small Fries at Yallingup in Western Australia.

Soli also won the under 14 years division to cap off an incredible performance by the young surfer.

“We’ve had some great waves here and it’s a really cool event,” he said.

“I’m going to Hawaii next month and to surf these waves is sort of a really good lead-up with lots of power and size.”
