Signs welcome Bruns visitors

A VILLAGE gateway sign will soon be greeting visitors to Brunswick Heads thanks to Tweed St Taskforce securing $5000 in funding from NSW Trade and Investment – and the community is being invited to design it.

“Tweed St Taskforce members have been scouring all possible funding sources to find money to fund the approved Tweed St master plan with little success to date,” said spokesperson Luis Cristia.

“So the funding for this sign represents a positive first step or ‘gateway’ for a start to the Tweed St makeover project.

“The money will go towards design, production and installation, but we want to collaborate with the community in the actual concept.”

Adults and children are being invited to submit ideas which reflect “our village identity and special seaside charm.

Send your ideas to info@brunswickheads.org.au or drop them in to the Brunswick Heads Visitor Centre at 7 Park St by August 15.
