On with the show: The Rolling Stones to return to Australia

THE Rolling Stones have confirmed they will return to Australia before the end of the year.

The update was posted on the band's website, confirming the rescheduled show will take place "between October 25 and November 22".

"Exact dates for each city will be released as soon as the scheduling is confirmed. Australia/New Zealand promoters ask ticket holders to please hold on to their tickets until further notice. The Rolling Stones wish to thank their fans in Australia and New Zealand for their patience and understanding at this time."

The Rolling Stones '14 On Fire Tour dates were originally postponed last March following the shock sudden death of Mick Jagger's long-term girlfriend L'Wren Scott.

The band recently announced they would resume their world tour in Norway in May.
