West Byron developer stays quiet on chook factory purchase

SYDNEY-based developer Terry Agnew is refusing to comment on whether his company, Tower Holdings, has purchased the former chicken factory site on Ewingsdale Road.

Mr Agnew is one of the developers behind the recently re-zoned West Byron area where up to 1100 houses could eventually be built.

The site, which had long been run by local company Sunnybrand before being bought by Inghams Chicken and later being shut down, covers 16 hectares and adjoins the West Byron site.

However, it would need to be re-zoned before any residential or tourism development could happen there.
