Senior shoots the lights out again at Byron Bay Golf Club

DEFENDING champion Peter Senior raced away to 14-under-par after a dominant display on the second day of the PGA Legends pro-am at the Byron Bay Golf Club.

Senior shot seven-under for the second day in a row to take an 11-shot lead into the final day.

"To go back-to-back like that is incredible," club professional Greg Stewart said.

"He shot 31 on the back nine yesterday and 30 today.

"The quality of shots he's playing shows you the frame of mind he is in."

About 55 professionals have lined up for the event this week in a field of 160.

The pros and a handful of selected amateurs will play the final 18 holes today.

"Peter will hit off at 11.30am and will probably be coming up at the 18th about 4pm," Stewart said.

"We should have another beautiful day with the weather and it's free entry."
