Sea Eagles sack assistant coach over pub fight

MANLY has sacked assistant coach Willie Peters following his altercation with the club's high-performance director, Dan Ferris.

The decision to terminate Peters' contract followed a Sea Eagles investigation into the pair. Ferris was also sanctioned.

"The Sea Eagles will not tolerate misconduct and expect all employees to represent the club at the highest standard," Manly owner Scott Penn said in a statement.

Police reportedly were forced to separate the pair, who work under head coach Trent Barrett, after they were embroiled in a physical confrontation outside a Sydney pub.
