Sam Mitchell shines as Eagles see off Demons

WEST COAST has seen off Melbourne in its final JLT Community Series clash, recording a comfortable victory at Subiaco on Thursday night.

Led by ex-Hawthorn veteran Sam Mitchell and key forward Josh Kennedy, the Eagles did enough to record a convincing 25-point win.

Mitchell racked up a game-high 39 disposals to go with his seven clearances in the victory, while Kennedy kicked five as the hosts cruised clear towards the end.

Melbourne youngster Clayton Oliver had 31 disposals and seven tackles, while Jake Spencer kicked three goals for the visitors.

Earlier, the Western Bulldogs kicked four supergoals on its way to a 21-point victory over the Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.
