Sam, Jess are on track despite elimination
MACKAY'S Sam and Jess O'Malley have been eliminated from The Biggest Loser - but they may be back on our screens sooner than you think.
Channel 10 has revealed that for the first time every eliminated couple will get the chance to return to the house.
The O'Malley elimination was the first in the latest series, The Biggest Loser: The Next Generation.
The father and daughter team yesterday chatted with fans on Twitter about their time in the house.
Jess, who may be remembered as the contestant who ate a full tub of ice-cream during the promotion of the show, had suffered a mild stroke.
Weighing in at 134.1kg, the 21-year-old was heavier than her father, who weighed 129.4kg.
Jess told fans on Twitter her most memorable moment on the show was her first weigh-in and seeing how much weight she had lost.
Since leaving the house she said they were still striving to be healthier. Not wanting to let her health go downhill again has kept her motivated.
"We're managing just fine on our own," she said. "We're getting stronger by the day."
Sam said the biggest change he made was to his diet.
"We've gone from large serves of takeaway to salad and vegies," he said.
Jess, who is engaged to be married, said her biggest motivation for going on the show was to be a good role model for her step-daughter and to look beautiful at her wedding.
But being away from her loved ones to achieve that goal was a challenge.
"The hardest thing is being locked in the house and not being able to see your family," she tweeted.
"You can't control a lot."
While filming for the show has been completed, the pair kept mum about who has won the competition, saying that they did not know.
The father and daughter team had a combined weight loss of 24.3kg when they left the show on Sunday night.
