The Rolling Stones will play a special show in London

THE Rolling Stones will play a summer concert in the heart of Mayfair for those who find Glastonbury's muddy fields too tortuous to negotiate.

The rockers announced that they will play a special July show in Hyde Park, the scene of their historic free concert in 1969.

Tickets will be priced at £95 for the Saturday, July 6 concert, part of the Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park series.

The show will follow the band's debut appearance at the Glastonbury festival.

Capacity for the London concert will be restricted to 65,000 fans.
