Rock out in silence with Tommy Franklin at Byron YAC
THE YACROCKCAFE at the Byron Youth Activities Centre are set to host monthly Tommy Franklin Fearless Silent Discos.
Tommy Franklin will bring his very special way of spreading happiness to a new monthly event for young people.
This Friday the first monthly silent disco will kick off, an event aimed at young people of high school and uni ages.
Drug and alcohol-free events, the discos will be fully supervised.
It's a $10 entry event, there's free food and the entry fee also includes headphones from the Electric Garden DJ's, and hours of good dance vibes.
YACROCKCAFE coordinator Nicqui Yazdi said that these monthly discos are what the young people of Byron Bay have been asking for for ages.
"Byron Youth Service did a recent survey with youth of the shire and Silent Discos was one of the number one things they wanted access to," Ms Yazdi said, so the BUDDI Community Drug Action Team, with the help of BYS, Sean Latham from the Electric Garden DJ's and Tommy Franklin have made it happen for them.
Tommy Franklin's Fearless Silent Disco happens this Friday night at the YAC, from 6-10pm.
There'll be prizes for random comps throughout the night, so get your dancin's shoes on and rock on down to the YAC!
