Rob Dalton Whale Watching Byron Bay

Rare seal sighting at Byron

BYRON Bay is used to hosting tourists from all around the world.

But a rare tourist took a trip to the iconic Julian Rocks last week.

Rob Dalton, from Whale Watching Byron Bay, photographed a seal sunning itself on the rocks about 1.30pm on August 31.

The seal reportedly wasn't fazed by the boat.

Whale Watching Byron Bay has been operating for 10 years, and this is only the third time the staff have seen a seal at Julian Rocks.
