Radio star's frightening find by the family pool

IT IS cheeky child's play, but with potentially deadly consequences.

Gold Coast radio star Emily-Jade O'Keefe is warning other parents to keep an eagle eye on their children as the weather heats up, after catching her daughter Millie using a friend as a stepladder to try to scale their pool fence.

Millie Murtagh and Lucie Truet combined to try and scale the pool fence.

Millie, 5, and her friend Lucie Truet, 8, pulled the brazen stunt this week as a shocked O'Keefe and her husband Gerard Murtagh looked on at their Coast home.

"The kids wanted to go in the pool and I told them to go upstairs and get changed into their swimmers. The next minute, we saw them trying to get into the pool by themselves."
