Qld's Rachel Dillon conquers world in her bikini

A TOWNSVILLE personal trainer has taken out a major gong in an international fitness modelling competition for the second year in a row.

Rachel Dillon has retained the crown for World Beauty Fitness and Fashion bikini champion after vying against athletes from all over the planet.

Through her online fitness empire Bodies By Rachel, Dillon is a personal trainer to hundreds of women across the world with more than 339,000 Instagram followers.

Dillon said she did 12 weeks of preparation in the lead-up to the show.

"I have had an extremely healthy and balanced prep," she said. "Nothing in my life stopped. I ran my business, travelled for my sponsors and kept family and friends a priority. I was happy and stayed true to who I am. This is very important whilst prepping."

Dillon, who became world champion last year, said this was her first time going into a competition with "a certain type of pressure".

"Lots of people fear pressure, but I thrive on it," she said.

"I spend a lot of my prep working on my physique but also my mental state. I always go in wanting to win but prepared to lose.

"I appreciate all I have achieved and accomplished and no matter the outcome I get up there (I am) so, so proud to be on a stage with the best in the world."

Rachel's older sister Emma Dillon also competed in the same division and placed in the top 10.

Dillon plans to defend her title again in 2018 but in the meantime is set to release two new online lifestyle programs by the end of the year.
