Pumped fans rise to occasion at flood-relief concert
ROCKER Ella Hooper, like many other stellar Australian musicians, knows too well the "music festival hype" that gets the crowd going.
The Victorian singer was among the many artists who got the crowds pumped for the Rise and Shine Queensland concert on Saturday at Rockhampton's Heritage Village. Country singer Beccy Cole and alt-country duo Texas Tea also took to the stage for an afternoon of great Aussie entertainment.
Rise and Shine Queensland, which travels to 10 communities across the state, is being programmed by Queensland Music Festival, led by artistic director James Morrison.
"I'm thrilled we had the chance to send so many wonderful performers to join these communities in their celebrations," Mr Morrison said.
