BYRON Shire Council is seeking public submissions for a plan to create 40km zoned High Pedestrian Activity Areas (HPAA) in Bangalow and Brunswick Heads.

The speed limit would apply in Byron Street, Bangalow, and Brunswick Heads' CBD bounded by Fingal Street, The Terrace, Mullumbimbi Street and Park Street and include the length of South Beach Rd.

Submissions close on July 18. Details of the Bangalow and Brunswick Heads schemes and submission guidelines are available at:
