Prop provides Turkeys with winning lift

KYOGLE front-rower Matt Cameron played a big part off the bench as the Turkeys downed Mullumbimby 20-10 in their NRRRL showdown at New Park, Kyogle.

Cameron, who has played Queensland Cup for Ipswich and Souths Logan, has added extra oomph to the Kyogle pack this season.

"We don't have him every week but he was terrific for us," team manager Wayne Lollback said.

"He's good friends with (coach) Cameron Mulcahy and Matt got our players' player."

Cameron's front-row partner Scott Lavelle, second-rower Travis Falls and centre Nigel Roy also played well for the Turkeys.

Kyogle has suffered just one loss this season, a one-point defeat at the hands of defending premiers Ballina.

"It's all going well at the moment and all three grades won again," Lollback said.

"You have to be prepared against a side like Mullumbimby and the boys turned up ready to play."

Elsewhere, ladder leaders Murwillumbah showed no mercy to Lower Clarence with a thumping 82-14 victory. Byron Bay also racked up a welcome win, bouncing back from last week's loss at Ballina to smash unpredictable Northern United 54-20.
