Popular sailing day at Bruns

Byron Council in conjunction with the youth services group SAILS - Sailing Adventures in Life Skills - are holding an affordable sailing day in Brunswick Heads on Saturday.

The council’s youth activity officer, Belle Arnold, said the sailing day was back by popular demand and it was the third time the council has subsidised and held the affordable family fun day activity.

All equipment is supplied and participants will learn how to sail a Hobi Cat, kayak and canoe on the Brunswick River.

Launch off will be at Massey Green Caravan Park Reserve, Brunswick Heads, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

The event is restricted to 50 participants and costs $10 per person over the age of five years.

Remember to wear or bring sunscreen, swimming gear and hats.

Bookings are essential and can be made with the council on 6626 7178.
