Police rule out link between Suffolk robbery, Sunrise arsons

POLICE have said there is no connection between the robbery of the BP service station at Suffolk Park and five cars being torched at Sunrise, Byron Bay.

The service station was robbed about 9.30pm on Saturday, just hours later the five cars in Belongil Cres were set alight about 4.30am.

Tweed-Byron police say officers have door knocked residents of Belongil Cres but officers still don't have any strong leads, suspects or even a motive for the attacks.

Police say they continue to review footage from the service station robbery.

Anyone with any information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
