Police renew appeal for help catching escaped convicts
POLICE have renewed their appeal for the community to help them track down three men, including two from the Northern Rivers, who escaped from prison at Glen Innes last week.
The prisoners, Zac Cree, 25 of Banora Point, Reegan Freeburn, 24, of Grafton and Ashley Cullen, 21 of Toormina, south of Coffs Harbour, have been on the run for up to four days now.
Police have said none of the prisoners have been seen since they were locked in their unit at the Glen Innes jail about 6.30pm Thursday.
The three are serving sentences of between three years and four years, nine months, for offences ranging from kidnapping and fraud to burglaries and traffic offences.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said police were still hunting for the men and hoped someone would spot one of them.
"Inquiries are still continuing for these gentlemen and we renew our appeal for information on their current whereabouts," the spokeswoman said.
Police have advised anyone who sees one of the men to not approach but contact Crime Stoppers immediately on 1800 333 000.
