Police appeal for theft information

Police are appealing for information from the public after a break and enter at the Brunswick Heads Bowling Club early last Wednesday morning.

About 12.30am an alarm sounded at the club located on the old Pacific Highway.

Police say it appears the offenders arrived at the rear of the club in a car and gained access through the roof.

They believe the offenders may have been at the premises for a number of hours.

The offenders cut open the ATM dispenser and jemmied open a number of poker machines removing an amount of cash.

Attempts to open two large safes, however, were unsuccessful.

Investigating police are appealing for anyone who might have noticed anything suspicious, or has information about the incident.

They can contact Byron Bay Police on 66859499 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
