Police charge men allegedly moving drugs across border

TWO men have been charged after the alleged discovery of $45,000 worth of cannabis and methamphetamine in a car. 

Around midday on Saturday, police officers intercepted the vehicle as part of an RBT operation being conducted on the New England Highway at Stanthorpe. 

A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly located dangerous drugs with an estimated value of $45,000. Police will allege the men were travelling from New South Wales to Brisbane.

 

A 49-year-old man from Bethania has been charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of possessing anything for use in the commission of a crime and is due to appear in Stanthorpe Magistrates Court on September 23.
