A HOMEMADE pair of colourful sneakers were enough to connect one lucky Childers woman with her on-stage hero - pop star Pink.
Childers mum Kerry Young said meeting her icon was a pure adrenaline rush and she'd been riding on a massive high ever since.
Hoisting a tiny pair of tie-dyed shoes into the air at the sold-out concert at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre was enough to catch the pop queen's attention among a sea of adoring fans.
Ms Young said Pink was delighted by the gift intended for her daughter, Willow.
"You can see in the video, she was stoked," Ms Young said.
"She was saying - 'Are you kidding me right now?'
"It's become my phrase. I'm driving people crazy repeating it all the time."
The children's shoes are part of the tie-dyed range of wares Ms Young makes for her market stall Wezzabel Tie Dye - which will feature at the Childers Festival on Sunday.
She said the stall had always been popular but might have a few more Pink fans stopping by this year.
"Seriously, I'm an out there sort of person but I was standing there in the packed mosh pit full of adrenaline," she said.
"It took a moment before I just held my hand up in the air.
"The look on her face was just priceless."
Ms Young said she was blown away by the live music performance and her chance encounter was one of the most exciting moments of her life.
