Brunswick Heads Public School and Simple Pleasures Photo Comp will join forces, linking the school with the community.

The Simple Pleasures Photography Competition will accept entries from any number of students as part of an arrangement between Brunswick Heads P&C and competition organisers.

The P&C will donate the entry fee, enabling all children to get involved, with no cost to families.

Principal Mick Channels said the school was excited to participate in the cultural community-based activity.

“Continuing to build and develop links with the local community is a priority for the school,” he said.

Students will work with the photos in a diverse range of ways.

Older students will cut together an animation of photos for the front office TV screen and work with manipulating images in their computer skills class.

The younger students will use their pictures to create posters as well as collages to fit with the theme ‘my environment’

The Simple Pleasures Photography Competition is, as always, open to the public; entry forms are available online at or from the Brunswick Information Centre, 7 Park St Brunswick Heads. Entries close on August 7.

Inquiries can be made to Lanie Loughlin on 0401 470 188.
