Phoenix takes cue to Darwin

In a few weeks, Phoenix Smith will be starting Year 6 at Byron Bay Public School.

But before that the 11-year-old will be taking his cue to Darwin to represent NSW in the Australian Eightball Championships from January 15 to 22 where he will be chasing the national under 12 title.

Phoenix (pictured) has been playing eightball for three years and practices at home on his father Damien’s table, and he also he can be seen playing against adults at the Railway Friendly Bar, often beating them in front of their mates.

Darwin will be his first tilt at a national title and he is pretty excited about playing kids his own age.
