Perfect weather for a triathlon

Sunday's sixth annual Brunswick Surf Club's Triathlon was held in perfect weather for the competitors.

An additional bonus was the tide dictating a reasonable 9.30am start time.

The river was looking beautiful for the 400m swim start (picture) and the VRA were all in place for the bike course. The final leg was a nice shady run out to the sports oval and back.

As the swim finished the spectators found their spots along the finish line

First across the line was Tom Anderson who is a regular in the triathlon with his team mates, swimmer Michael Schwager and cyclist Allen Stons.

They completed the race in 35mins 12 secs.

The overall male winner was Scott Sewell in 36:20 and the overall female winner was Georgia Rhodes with the time of 43:07.
