Peak hour traffic delayed by hway crash at Sapphire
PEAK hour traffic headed into Coffs Harbour was delayed this morning by a minor three vehicle accident.
The bonnet-to-bumper crash happened near the new Pacific Highway Headland Rd overpass at Sapphire just after 8am.
The occupants suffered only minor injuries.
In an update, at least one vehicle was towed from the scene.
A truck working on the roadworks is also understood to have been involved in the crash.
Traffic banked up for several kilometres in the south bound lane.
Road crews put diversions in place however motorists travelling south still faced lengthy delays.
