Patrick speaks out: Rumours of my death exaggerated

A Facebook post mourning the loss of Patrick on Offspring

DON'T worry, I'm still here

The rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

You could imagine my surprise last night logging on to Facebook and seeing my name being mentioned multiple times over.

'Can't believe they killed Patrick.... '

'This is not actually happening. Not Patrick.'

'No Patrick, nooooooo!'

I was touched. Flattered even. They were lovely tributes to a man with such a beautiful name.

Except…

A) I'm very much alive.
B) They weren't talking about me.

A fictional character named Patrick (great name) on Offspring was killed off last night apparently.

Now I'm no fan of the show - so I wasn't really aware of what was going on until Facebook lit up with mentions of my name.

Except, they weren't talking about me.

Still, quite odd to see so many people with commiserations for someone with the same fantastic name as you - makes me wonder if they think of me in any small way when watching his fictional death.

Now that I think about it - probably not.

So thank you for all the concerns - but I'm here to say I'm alive and well.
