Outstanding portfolio wins our photographer top award
THE trophy cabinet is busting at the seams as The Daily Examiner photographer Adam Hourigan picked up another piece of glassware this weekend.
Adam won the NSW Regional Journalism Photography award for a portfolio of five images taken over the previous year.
These images included pictures of fire-twirler Mallika Van Pelt on Turners Beach, fire-fighters outside the smoking PO Hotel in Grafton and two veterans of differing ages at a Remembrance Day ceremony.

One of the photos, a shot of Lewis Cooper high above the Grafton diving pool taken from a GoPro, has also been named as a semi-finalist in the $50,000 Moran Photographic Prize, which will be announced later next month.
This is the fourth time Hourigan has won the award, including going back-to-back after winning the title last year.
