Origin tension builds...at tot group

THEY'RE probably just a bit wet behind the ears to throw a cut-out pass, kick a 40-20 or administer a facial massage in back play, but these little fanatics sure know how to scream for their favourite team.

The mums of little boy blue Beau Browne, seven months, and big Maroon Reece Roo, 14 months, decided to get into the spirit of Origin footy by dressing their kids up in all the gear during a parents' reading workshop at Goodna's St Francis Xavier School.

While it's just a bit of friendly fun for the grown-ups, the boys seem to get so worked up by their interstate rivalries that it often reduces them to screaming and crying for mother.

Beau's mum Mel Browne said her family was split down the middle when it came to allegiances.

“I'm from the Snowies, my hubby is from Bundy and we've got two kids on either side of the fence,” she said.

“Beau is a Blue because he's got more of his mum's blood.”

Maroons supporter Kylie Stace, who is also part of the reading workshop but whose four-month-old son Hudson was too emotional about tonight's game to take part in the photo shoot, picked Queensland to win by 10 points.
