NOT many people like the Blues in these parts, but do they deserve this?

A former New South Wales man now living on the Sunshine Coast has told of being blocked from an express train travelling through Brisbane's north because he was wearing a Blues jersey.

Chris Chambers, 30, vented his frustration on Facebook on Wednesday night.

I seriously can't believe the arrogance and rudeness of Queenslanders.

I was boarding a ‪#‎QueenslandRail‬ train when the train conductor refused to allow me on the train because I'm wearing a ‪#‎NSWBlues‬ ‪#‎StateOfOrigin‬ jersey.

I seriously can't believe it. I've reported it to ‪#‎Translink‬. This would be hilarious if it wasn't serious.

Mr Chambers has now posted correspondence with Translink on his Facebook page.

He was attempting to board a Nambour express train passing through Albion station at 8.30am.

In images he published, Translink confirms it has noted his complaint and will investigate.

Translink is now attempting to find CCTV footage of the incident.

Queensland Rail too has apologised for the incident, and is now attempting to identify staff who were on the train at the time.

A spokeswoman said while it encouraged QR staff to "get in the spirit" of State of Origin, swearing was taking it too far.

"Maroon is our favourite colour, but it isn't compulsory for travel," she said.
 

He said that people on the train, who he said appeared to work for Queensland Rail, told him he couldn't board "in that shirt.

"I asking him if he was joking," Mr Chambers told Triple M.

"He said: 'No, get off'.

Mr Chambers said he felt like if he didn't follow the orders, he might cop a fine.

"As far as I was concerned, he'd given me a directive, and he was serious, so I got off.

"As the doors closed, he said: 'F--- off back to NSW, you loser".

According to the Daily Telegraph, Mr Chambers sees no reason to pledge allegiance to Queensland when his blood in blue.

"I played my first game of league in New South Wales. I'm a Blues supporter," he said.

"I could understand if I was wearing a racist shirt or had offensive language on it but it's a rugby league shirt."
