On the run

POLICE are asking people to be on the lookout for a 33-year-old man who escaped from Moree Local Court on Saturday morning.

Michael Pitt was refused bail for breaching Supreme Court bail conditions and other matters when police allege he jumped over the dock and escaped from Corrective Services officers, who pursued him on foot.

Mr Pitt was seen getting in- to a taxi in the vicinity of Wilga Place, Moree and has not been seen since.

Police say he is known to frequent the Moree, Waterloo, Daceyville, Mt Druitt and Lismore areas.

Mr Pitt is described as being 170-175cm tall, of medium build, with a dark brown complexion, a black goatee and moustache, and acne scars on his face.
