Olympic swimmer escapes ice dealing charge

OLYMPIC swimmer Scott Miller has escaped a drug dealing charge and will instead be sentenced for drug possession early next year.

During a special hearing on Monday, the Sydney District Court heard the former champion and medallist was allegedly mixed up in hard drugs and prostitutes.

Miller was hit with supply charges in July after police allegedly discovered more than seven grams of the drug "ice" in his Sydney home.

It came a month after he was allegedly found with three bags of the drug along with a large amount of cash.

According to Miller's legal team, the money was linked to an escort agency.

Miller's plea of guilty to the lesser charge of possession was accepted.

He will be sentenced on January 27.
