Old XPT trains to be upgraded if coalition wins NSW election

A re-elected NSW Liberals & Nationals Government will deliver a brand new fleet of trains to replace the aging XPT fleet, Member for Lismore Thomas George said.

"This is fantastic news for our community and means faster travel times, improved comfort and better reliability on regional train services," Mr George said.

If re-elected, procurement for the new trains will begin in the next term of government.

Dog trapping

WILD dog trapping will be used to complement a dog baiting program in Cudgen Nature Reserve, near Bogangar on the Tweed Coast from Match 11.

National Parks and Wildlife Service has engaged a wild dog trapper to work in those areas of the Reserve where baiting is not appropriate.

The wild dog trapper will work the eastern part of the reserve and will continue for the next month, or until the wild dogs are caught.
