Okay to sack for signs of religion

EMPLOYERS may bar staff from wearing visible religious symbols, the European Union's top court has ruled in its first decision on the issue of women wearing an Islamic headscarf at work. The Court of Justice gave a joined judgment in the cases of two women, in France and Belgium, who were each dismissed for refusing to remove a headscarf. French conservative candidate Francois Fillon said the ruling would contribute to "social peace”, but rights groups say the ruling may keep many Muslim women out of the workforce. - News Corp
