NSW Blues legends run with the locals

TRUE Blues legends Brad Fittler, Matt Cooper and Steve Roach called in to Red Devil Park yesterday to run Rugby League clinics for players from the Byron Bay Lennox Head Junior Rugby League as part of their Hogs For The Homeless Tour.

The Hogs For The Homeless crew, also consisting of NRL greats Josh Perry, Jack Elsegood and Ian Schubert, regularly run the clinics to help drive Junior Rugby League membership and participation, as well as raise awareness and funds for Father Chris Riley’s Youth off the Streets.

The crew is will travel more than 3500km, making stops in 17 country towns, delivering a Rugby League ball to every child along the way.

Since its inception in 2013, Hogs For The Homeless has raised almost $300,000 for Youth off the Streets, with this year’s tour again raising much-needed funds for Rugby League clubs as well.
