WOMEN'S fifth seed Karolina Pliskova says she has no problem with the injury that forced her to pull out of the Sydney International after a straight-forward first-round defeat of Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-2 6-0 in round one of the Australian Open.

"I had a few days off after Brisbane," Pliskova said.

"I felt a little bit my left leg. Now everything is fine."

Last year's US Open runner-up is also a former junior champion at the Australian Open, defeating Laura Robson in the 2010 final.

The Czech fifth seed said she was not too worried with the extra attention she received after her run to the final in New York and her win at the Brisbane International, and was taking things in her stride.

"I heard few stuff, but I'm not, you know, thinking about this. I just don't want to get it into my head," said Pliskova, who will face Russian Anna Blinkova in round two.

"I just want to continue in those things what I was doing the second half of the year last year and even in Brisbane.

"So, yeah, I don't care about these things much. Obviously I know that people are talking somehow, even in grand slams and stuff. But it's not really important for me, these things."
