COOLUM skateboarder Nikki Quinlan's search for love continues after she exited The Bachelor Australia last night.

Bachelor Tim Robards passed over the sporty beauty (pictured far left) despite commenting on her physical fitness and taking the time to have a one-on-one chat with the 23-year-old.

Competition for Robards' affections was stiff in last night's debut episode of the dating show, with 25 glammed-up women all vying for the hunky Sydney chiropractor's attention.

After a few hours of chatting with the women, Robards had to choose 20 to move on to the next round of dates in the show's signature rose ceremony.

"To get turned down on the first rose ceremony is a little bit scary," Quinlan said on last night's show.
