ARE you ready to pursue your career in the performing arts? Then look no further than Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art.

NIDA is now accepting applications for its prestigious full-time courses, offering the opportunity to learn from and train with the best in theatre, film and television.

Director/CEO of NIDA, Lynne Williams said this is the chance for passionate and aspiring artists to launch their creative careers.

"Each year, we have the privilege of interviewing and auditioning some of the finest emerging talent from across Australia," commented Ms Williams.

"We are looking for people who demonstrate skill, passion and commitment, and we never know where the future leaders for the arts and entertainment industries will come from."

NIDA is offering a range of study options in 2016, including Master of Fine Arts courses in: Directing and Writing for Performance; and Bachelor of Fine Arts courses in: Acting, Costume, Design for Performance, Properties and Objects, Staging, Technical Theatre and Stage Management.

In addition to the popular Diploma of Musical Theatre, NIDA is offering a Diploma in Live Production and Technical Services, and launching a new Diploma of Specialist Make-up Services.

"For more than 50 years we have been discovering and developing some of Australia's most successful artists and practitioners - Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martin, Ryan Corr, Miranda Tapsell and Sarah Snook, to name a few," commented Ms Williams.

"NIDA continues to invest in our courses to ensure we stay at the forefront of creative arts education around the world. We are dedicated to the future success of our graduates and look forward to discovering Australia's next generation of creative leaders."

Aspiring NIDA students can find out more about all the courses on offer in 2016 at the upcoming Information Nights on 22 July and 14 September 2015, either in person at NIDA's campus in Sydney or by streaming online.
