Nicki Minaj avoids driving ticket

NICKI Minaj's celebrity status helped her to avoid a traffic ticket.

The 'Starships' rapper claims a New York City police officer decided not to issue her a ticket and fine once the traffic cop, who pulled her over, realised who she was.

The 30-year-old star posted a picture of the note she wrote to the police woman's daughter on Twitter, in which she wrote: "My beautiful barb Ayana! You and your mom are amazing! Love always, Nicki."

She added the caption: "Her mother is a traffic cop. She was about to give us a tkt. ;) (sic)"

Meanwhile, Nicki blasted rapper Gucci Mane after he claimed on Monday that he slept with her several times in the past.

She wrote: "May God strike me dead if I ever had sex wit that man #ugliness He's sick and in dire need of rehab. #Love"

She later deleted the tweet.

Nicki recently confessed her filmed proposal from rapper DJ Khaled was all a publicity stunt to promote his new album 'Suffering From Success.'

The rapper, 37, got down on bended knee and produced a $500,000 engagement ring during an interview with MTV last week but the former 'American Idol' judge later admitted it was a hoax.
