New regional website attracts many

GLADSTONE Area Promotion and Development Limited is proud to launch a new Gladstone region website, as part of the successful joint submission to the Queensland Tourism Network Grant administered by Tourism Queensland.

The Queensland Tourism digital web project was undertaken as part of a joint venture between GAPDL and seven other regional tourism organisations (RTO’s) with an aim to further promote and market the Gladstone region for the benefit of members and the community.

GAPDL chief executive, Glenn Churchill said the collaboration between the eight RTO’s and the website developer, Guerrilla Digital was impressive on all levels.

“GAPDL is proud to have partnered with seven other Queensland RTO’s to develop a website that essentially promotes the Gladstone region as a tourism, investment and lifestyle destination.

"Each website is customised to ensure each destination's individuality is maintained, but they fall under a standard template which makes it easier for visitors to find information, particularly when travelling between Queensland destinations."

GAPDL website project officer, Melissa Dahtler said the new website is an essential marketing tool for the Gladstone region.

“The Gladstone region website is a professional and user friendly website that will guide potential visitors and locals through our wonderful region.

“The website not only contains vital information about local attractions, tours, accommodation, transport, maps and information services that visitors will find essential, but promotes the Gladstone region and Banana Shire as a great destination in which to live, work and invest.

“The Gladstone region website is consistent with the latest Tourism Queensland branding and boasts the tagline, ‘The Gladstone Region, Where Australia Shines.’”

Mr Churchill continued, “The project team, headed by project officer, Melissa Dahtler, who worked on the development and design of the Gladstone region website have done a marvellous job in promoting the Gladstone region to the wider community, the state, the nation and the world.”
