NORTH coast Labor candidates will no doubt be hoping some of the new Premier of Queensland Annastacia Palaszczuk's winning ways rub off on them when she launches their campaign at Banora Point on Friday.

Ms Palaszczuk, who pulled off a stunning electoral victory against former premier Campbell Newman last month, will officially open Labor's campaign alongside NSW Labor leader Luke Foley at the Salvation Army Centre.

The event will be hosted by Federal Labor MP for Richmond Justine Elliot. Also present will be Labor's North Coast team including Ron Goodman (Tweed), Isaac Smith (Lismore), Paul Spooner (Ballina) and Trent Gilbert (Clarence) as well as the Shadow Minister for Health and Shadow Minister for the North Coast, Walt Secord.

"Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk stopped the LNP in Queensland and it is time that Labor and Luke Foley stopped the Liberals-Nationals from privatising our electricity network," Mr Secord said.
