Police identify person of interest in French girl murder
POLICE are hunting a man, believed to be from Ipswich, in relation to the murder of French exchange student Sophie Collombet.
Benjamin James Milward, 25, is wanted for questioning regarding the death of the 21-year-old Ms Collombet at South Brisbane earlier this week.
According to police Milward, who lived in Raceview in 2007, is itinerant. He came to police attention regarding the death following the examination of CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses.
Police describe Milward as being Caucasian, 180cm tall with a proportionate build, short blonde hair, hazel eyes and a dragon tattoo on the left side of his chest.
Police released CCTV images captured at a South Brisbane business around midday on Thursday March 27.

Murdered French student turned down lift on fateful night
MURDERED French student Sophie Collombet turned down the offer of a lift home on the night she was killed in a South Brisbane park.
On March 27, Ms Collombet's night class at Griffith University's Nathan campus had wrapped up about 8.20pm, when a fellow international student offered her a ride back to her Quay Street apartment.
The upset male student told classmates what had happened during a student meeting on Thursday night, Ms Collombet's friend Roselyne Trott said.
"They walked out of the class and it was pouring with rain. They shared an umbrella and walked towards his car. He offered her a lift, and she said, 'No its ok, I'll go on the bus'," Mrs Trott told Fairfax Media.
"They left each other at his car and she went on the bus."
