Mum's honest post about parenting goes viral

A MOTHER'S photo of her and her young son having a cuddle has gone viral. But not for the reason you think.

Mummy blogger Sophie Cachia shared the photo of her son Bobby snuggled against her with her 155,000 followers on Instagram this week.

But it isn't the photo that's made it go viral. It is the caption.

"To the naked eye, this looks like your standard cute photo of Bobby & I," Mrs Cachia says.

"This photo was in fact captured whilst I was taking a poo.

"Just thought I'd let you all know.

"Especially for all those planning on having children soon.

"This. Is. Your. Life. Goodnight."

The post quickly gained hundreds of comments and thousands of likes after relating with many mums and dads.

"Brilliant. This is the real 'Mum Life', in one picture," one Instagram user comments.

"My son is 22 and still says Mom where are you everytime I'm in the bathroom and hes home hmmmm lets see we live in a rancher and the bathroom light is on ...where the hell do you think I am???? (sic)" another says.

"I understand you lol. this picture is the perfect description of my every day routine," writes another.

But not everyone agrees, saying boundaries should be established.

"I have a 9 year old daughter and I've never had to have her on my lap whilst I'm on the toilet! Learn boundaries!!" one writes.

"This is so stupid people think that being a good parent means no time for yourself not even to go to the bathroom I have two kids and I never had to this .... learn how to be a parent this is when you start teaching your kids to be independent he is not gonna die because he doesn't go to the bathroom with his mom..." another says.

Do you appreciate her honesty or too much information?
