EACH year the Mullumbimby High School Year 12 cohort hold an annual charity collection to raise funds for selected local charities.

This years collection will take place from 7- 8.45am on Wednesday September 18 on the streets of Mullumbimby.

After a vote the student body decided they would this year raise money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Ovarian Cancer Australia.

Next Wednesday the students will be collecting outside St Johns School, Santos and Argyle Street in Mullumbimby and near the Brunswick Hotel at Brunswick Heads.

Mullumbimby HS Year 12 Year Advisor, Lachlan McKenzie said the charity collection has a long history in the community.

The students plan to present a cheque to a representative from each charity at the Mullumbimby High School Year 12 Presentation Evening on Thursday 19th September 2013.

Mr McKenzie said the school and students would like to thank the community in advance for their assistance and donations on the day.
