Mullumbimby Chamber of Carols by Candlelight

MULLUMBIMBY Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community along to the show ground from 6.30 pm this Sunday December 11 for the traditional Carols By Candlelight.

Hosted by Ellen Briggs, there will be a barbecue provided by Mullumbimby Public School as well as a host of local entertainers adding to the seasonal spirit.

For a gold coin donation there will be candles and glow sticks available and there may well be a visit from Santa on the back of a fire truck.

"Everyone is going to have to sing up nice and loud for Santa to arrive,” said Mullumbimby Chamber of Commerce president Jenelle Stanford who along with Chamber member Margaret Hatch is organising the Carols.

Ms Stanford said the Chamber currently had 80 members and was always looking for more,' especially with the return with the Chincogan Charge in September next year.

"After getting the support of local landowners and the Council we are bringing it back after 10-12 years,” she said.

"It is literally a run up the side of the mountain so we are giving everyone plenty of warning and a chance to get in training.”
