Move over surfers, this store is for bodyboarders only

BODYBOARDERS Surf Co will have some special guests at its grand opening in Coolangatta this Saturday.

Sponsored pros Dave Winchester, Matt Lackey, Joe Clarke and Ewan Donnachie will be in store December 1 for a meet and greet which is sure to excite bodyboarding devotees.

The four greats have a mass of championships and titles behind them and are considered top contenders in the sport.

Owner of BSC Coolangatta Mick Parkhill said he knew that bodyboarding was popular on the Tweed and he was looking forward to unveiling the new shop at the grand opening.

"Bodyboarding has a strong niche amongst the surf community," he said.

"We want it to look like the best shop in town."

Mr Parkhill also hinted at some surprises for people who come along on the day.

"We try to keep a few surprises in store," he said.

The bodyboarder of the year title will be announced on November 30 at Komune in Coolangatta leading up to the BSC Coolangatta launch.
