Morning teas, awards and sing-alongs for our seniors

THERE are a range of activities planned across the Byron Shire to celebrate Seniors Week including;

The Mayor's morning tea and presentation of the Byron Shire Council Positive Ageing Award and Brunswick Valley U3A Primary School photographic competition at the Ocean Shores Country Club on Tuesday, March 17 from 9.30-11.50am. Bookings are essential. Phone Penny on 6680 1600.

Seniors Week Harmony in the Garden will be held Saturday, March 21 from 10am-1.30pm at Mullumbimby Community Gardens. There will be entertainment, a garden tour, cooking demonstration, free morning tea and cob-oven pizza available. Phone Hannah on 0403 685 869.

Mullumbimby Library will celebrate with a sing-along of golden oldies with Magenta Appel-Pye and her seniors' ukulele group on Monday, March 16 at 10.30am. To book contact the Library on 6684 2992.
